2. Using this website
By using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

3. Enquiries & bookings
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not create a booking or contract with Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd.
An enquiry is a request for information and for our team to contact you. For certain event enquiries, your details may instead be passed to our booking partner, Britebiz, who may contact you regarding your enquiry.
A booking is only confirmed once the relevant booking process has been completed and the required booking payment has been received and accepted by Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd.
The terms that apply to a confirmed wedding or event booking will be set out in the booking contract provided to you at the time of booking. Where there is any difference between these website terms and the terms of your booking contract, the booking contract will apply.
4. Wedding & event bookings
For confirmed wedding and event bookings, the following provisions apply in addition to the specific terms contained in your booking contract.
Security deposit
A £500 security deposit is required two weeks before the wedding date.
The security deposit is held against any damage to Ashmoor House, including the venue, honeymoon suite, glam room, cottages and grounds.
Provided no damage has occurred, the full security deposit will be returned within two weeks after the wedding date.
Where damage has occurred, Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd reserves the right to retain an appropriate amount of the security deposit to cover the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing damaged property. Where the cost of the damage exceeds the security deposit, you may remain responsible for the additional reasonable costs incurred.
Cancellation by the customer
Because wedding dates are reserved for exclusive use and can be difficult to re-sell at short notice, cancellation charges may apply if you cancel your booking.
The cancellation terms applicable to your booking will be set out in your booking contract. The following arrangements apply to bookings made under the current booking terms:
More than 12 months before the wedding date
The 50% venue hire booking fee is non-refundable.
Any catering, drinks or additional services already paid for will be refundable, less any reasonable costs already incurred by Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd in fulfilling those services.
12 months or less, but more than 3 months before the wedding date
You will be liable for payments that have become due and payable under your booking up to the date of cancellation.
Payments already made for catering, drinks or additional services will generally be non-refundable from this point, subject to the terms of your booking contract and applicable consumer rights.
3 months or less before the wedding date
You may be liable for the remaining balance of your booking, including venue hire, catering, drinks and additional services, subject to the terms of your booking contract and applicable consumer law.
Any cancellation charge or amount retained by Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd will be subject to your statutory rights and applicable consumer protection law.
Changing your wedding date
If you need to change your wedding date after the booking payment has been made, a £500 administration fee will apply.
Any change of date is subject to availability and must be agreed with Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd in writing.
If the venue hire price for the new date is higher than the original date, the difference will be payable.
If the venue hire price for the new date is lower than the original date, no refund of the difference will be due.
Other elements of your booking, including catering, drinks and additional services, may also be affected by a change of date. Any resulting changes to prices or availability will be discussed with you before the date is transferred.
Cancellation by Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd
In the unlikely event that Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd needs to cancel a confirmed booking, we will notify you as soon as reasonably practical.
Where we cancel and are unable to provide the services agreed under your booking contract, our liability will be subject to the terms of that contract and your statutory rights. Where appropriate, we will refund payments made for services that we are unable to provide.
5. Events outside our reasonable control
Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd will not be responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where this is caused by an event outside our reasonable control.
This may include, for example:
- •Serious damage to the property
- •Serious adverse weather conditions
- •Fire or flood
- •Natural disasters
- •Interruption or failure of essential utility services
- •Changes in law or government requirements that prevent the event from taking place
Where an event outside our reasonable control affects your wedding or event, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practical and work with you to determine the appropriate arrangements. This may include moving the date of your booking where possible.
Any change of date will be subject to availability and may result in changes to the price or services available for the new date.
If it is not reasonably possible for the booking to proceed, any cancellation, refund or other arrangements will be dealt with in accordance with your booking contract and applicable law.
6. Third-party links
This website may contain links to third-party websites, including our booking partners, suppliers and social media platforms.
These websites are operated independently of Ashmoor House Weddings Ltd. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices or terms of websites that we do not control.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these website terms from time to time. The Last updated date at the top of this page will indicate when the terms were most recently changed.
Any changes will apply to your use of the website from the date they are published.
Changes to the terms of an existing wedding or event booking will not automatically alter the terms of your booking contract.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies that you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Where you are booking services as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising in connection with these terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.
